Welcome to the Complete Walks of Shakespeare.
A visit to the original settings of events that inspired Shakespeare’s plays and his imagination.
Although there are maps, it’s not a walking guide. It’s more of a pedestrian tour we’re taking across Britain and Europe, and beyond, of places you can mostly visit yourself and which are connected with the works and world of Shakespeare.
Of course, there are castles and battlefields, churches and natural landscapes to be found.
However there are also less expected places to discover such as a bus stop, a former telephone exchange, a railway station, a golf course and a school.
The Complete Walks of Shakespeare is an online project, supported by subscription, that is updated four times a month.
As well as a background to the plays and descriptions of the settings, as they were in history and as they are today, there are pictures and audio visual features to see and hear.
It’s interactive too. There’s a forum to get involved with and we welcome emails that offer additional content to each post.
Subscriptions cost £2.99 a month and the first ten days are free.
Thank you for your support.
We can’t do it without you.
